I love creating useful things from wood that I can use myself. This time I decided to create a folding wooden tripod that can be used with the iPhone. I found the creation process very exciting, so I decided to also make a more durable version of a tripod for my DSLR camera or for a small light source.

  • DIY Laser cutter/engraver 520x520mm, 5.5w
  • Sander

Components:


  • American walnut veneer 4.5mm
  • American walnut veneer 2.5mm
  • European oak veneer 4.5mm
  • 1/4" Tripod Mount Screw with one Layer to Flash Hot Shoe
  • M3, M5 Bolts and Nuts
  • Oil: cleaned flaxseed
  • Black acrylic paint
  • Wax
  • Glue: Titebond 2 (dark), CA Glue + Activator

Step 14: Assemble Head Bases With Bolt and Nut

Step 15: Put Nuts to the Legs

Step 16: Mount Bolt Holder to the Carriage

Step 17: Fix Legs With Bolts

Step 18: Disassemble and Cover Parts With Oil

Step 19: Final Result
